Gir National Park




Gir National Park is the only place in the world where one can find a majestic Asiatic lion. The park is also home to the largest arid deciduous forest in western India. Aside from Asiatic lions, the park is also home to about 300 species of birds and a variety of animals.




  It was set up to protect Asian lions, who frequently roam the bankrupt safari park with leopards and hyenas. Nowhere else will you get a chance to see them as close as in Gir National Park. Spread over an area of ​​about 1,412 sq km, it is the only national park in India where a tribal community has completed the art of co-existence in harmony with wildlife.
